A Case Study


Back-ground Three years prior to launch, a pharmaceutical global commercial team led a process to develop an integrated, multi-year launch plan for next generation drug in a multi-billion dollar market. Market-level team was formed and they needed to build their country-level launch plans.
Challenges
  • Country level teams were under-resourced at the time
  • Country team lacked launch planning and disease area experience
  • The country team did not have an understanding of the Global Plan
  • The company did not have dedicated resources to drive the planning process
Solution ForeRunner (FRS) engaged with regional and local leaders to design a planning process and schedule. FRS managed the logistics and led the individualized planning sessions. Cross-functional workshops were implemented to initiate and conclude the planning process. Country-level interdependencies with Global were identified. Opportunities for improving and accelerating local success were communicated.
Result The country-level and global teams were impressed with the quality of the plan. The Global and local interdependencies and timing were identified and tracked by launch leadership.
